Vikram Veeda saw a 45% drop on its first Monday while managing to record a decent figure at the box office over the weekend. Directed by Pushkar Gayathri, the no-noir action thriller is a Hindi remake of the filmmaker duo’s 2017 Tamil film of the same name. The film also stars Radhika Apti, Yogita Behani, Shareeb Hashmi and Rohit Saraf in important roles.
According to a report by Boxofficeindia.com, the initial estimates indicated that Vikram collected around Veeda ₹5.5 crore nett on Monday, which would be a decline of around 45 percent.
Vikramvedha had released in theaters alongside Mani Ratnam’s epic period drama, Puneyan Selvan I. Hope to show some improvement during the next holiday; It also has a free run till Diwali.
The original film had R Madhavan as a police officer (played by Saif in the remake) and Vijay Sethupathi as a gangster (played by Hrithik in the remake). Talking about working in a post-war two-hero film, Hrithik said, “I love doing a couple. The more the merrier. Like I did in Zindagi Malegi Na Dubara, War and Now Saif, it pushes you to do better because you see great acting.
