October is Cyber Security Awareness Month (Cyber Month) in Canada and the University of Manitoba is proud Get Cyber Safe Champions are working to help Canadians stay safe online. Cyber Month is an important time to think as individuals and as an organization about how we can protect ourselves and our loved ones online.
This year’s theme is Cyber Month Fight Phishing: Ruin the Cybercriminal’s Day. Phishing is a type of scam in which a cybercriminal sends an email, text, or direct message to get someone or an organization you know to reveal their sensitive information.
