Karthi seems to be on a roll at the box office. His last release ‘Ponniyin Selvan I’ is also going strong in the theaters and has already crossed the Rs 450 crore mark at the box office.
Talking about the film, Karthi said in an interview to PTI, “I am a part of a very big film. I have all these lovely people to help me. Usually in my films, I am the only one who takes the pressure. Face to face, maybe me and my director.
He added, “But here we have more help to face this pressure. You feel very confident because you Mani sir are starting in a film. So, I feel lucky that I I am getting introduced to a large audience through this film.
Talking about working with Mani Ratnam, the actor said, “As a filmmaker, he understands people and emotions, he is so sensitive. He trained the audience to be more intelligent and artistic. The issues he chose… How personal he can get into characters and relationships…”
