The Hindi dubbed version of “Punyan Selvan Part 1” collected Rs 75 lakh in eight days, reports Box Office India. The film will comfortably cross the Rs 20 crore nett mark. The dubbed version now stands at 14.85 crore nett.
The film collected Rs 160.75 crore in the first week in India, and added around Rs 8.75 crore on the second Friday, the report added. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 169.50 crore nett.
In Tamil Nadu, ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’ posted historic numbers at the box office (107 crore nett) and will easily become the highest grosser in the state.
Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film has become an all-time blockbuster and has earned Rs 300 crore worldwide within a week. It is not the fifth Tamil film after ‘Anthiran’, ‘Kabali’, ‘2.0’ and ‘Vikram’ to win this honour.
