PCBL Ltd. (formerly Phillips Carbon Black) reports stable performance in Q2 FY23.
23 Q2 net sales were Rs 1,628 crore, with carbon black sales volume at 114,000 per tonne (4% QoQ) up 15.5% QoQ and trading at Rs 140 (11% QoQ).
The sales volume of premium carbon black was 10,016 tons.
Ebitda in Q2 FY23 came in at Rs 189 crore with a corresponding margin of 11.6%. Consequential profit after tax for Q2 FY23 was Rs 116 crore, up 7.7% QoQ.
PCBL’s Ebitda/ton for the quarter was Rs 16,570/ton; It was down 7.3% QoQ, still the second highest in its history. It was higher than we expected, mainly due to a decline in external freight rates.
