Kantara is turning out to be a big breakout at the Karnataka box office The film recorded its biggest day at the box office on the sixth day of its release yesterday. The film was already competing with the Sunday numbers on Tuesday and yesterday it comfortably topped them. Rishabh Shetty’s star action drama earned crores of rupees. 5 crore in Karnataka on Wednesday, a jump of around 25% from Tuesday. The total box office collection of the film has reached Rs.20 crores. 21 crore in India, of which Rs. 20.50 crores have come from Karnataka.
The last three days helped in the holiday period, but for this kind of complexity where the sixth day is three times the initial day, you need the qualities of the film. In fact, now that the holidays are over, the movie may still do very well. 3.50 crores today, which is just mind blowing. Now there may be some holiday demand left in the game and it will be known how the film will perform in its second weekend.
The first week collection in Karnataka should be around Rs. 24-24.50 crores around which would be like 777 Charlie, despite the opening half of the film. The film has to make crores of rupees. 50 crore mark in the state, has been achieved by only a few films and may become the highest non-KGF grosser.

Total – Rs. 21 crores
