Kantara Box Office Collection: Kanda superstar Rishabh Shetty’s latest release is refusing to slow down at the ticket window. It has become one of the most talked about movies of 2022. While southern films continue to do well in northern regions, Kantara has broken all regional blockbusters this year. According to trade reports, the film is nearing the Rs 300 crore mark at the global box office. Despite many controversies, Kantara is doing remarkable work.

Also, Humble Films has quickly become the most successful production house, delivering one pan-Indian blockbuster after another and is expected to continue the dream run in the coming year.

Kantara (Hindi) Box Office Report

Released on October 14, Kantara Hindi has received overwhelming response from critics and audiences. Kantara has added more power to the latest trend of South Indian films by clicking with the audience in the Hindi belt. Despite many controversies, Kantara is enjoying a phenomenal business and the Hindi version has grossed close to Rs 50 crore worldwide. The film is giving tough competition to Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Sethu and Ajay Devgan-Sidharth Malhotra’s Shukhar God. In Maharashtra, the Hindi version of Kantara is witnessing more footfall than the recent Bollywood release, claimed a report in Box Office India.

Rishabh Shetty meets Rajinikanth

Rishabh Shetty, who directed as well as played the lead role in Kundara, recently met Rajinikanth. After praising the Kannada blockbuster, the veteran actor met Rishab at his residence in Chennai. Along with Humble Films producer Karthik Gowda, he visited Rajinikanth’s house. Taking to Twitter, the Kantara actor shared the pictures and also penned a thank you note to Rajinikanth. “Thank you @rajinikanth sir. We are forever grateful for your appreciation of the film #Kantara,” tweeted the actor.

“Moments to treasure for a lifetime for #HombaleFilms #Kantara team. With none other than #Thalaiva. Thanks for your precious time @rajinikanth sir,” read a post by Hombale Films’ official Twitter handle. In one picture, Rishabh is seen praying to Rajinikanth after touching his feet, and in another picture, Rishabh is smiling as Rajinikanth holds his hand. After hosting Rishabh, Rajinikanth also presented him with a shawl.

Meanwhile, Kannada period action thriller Kantara, which released nationwide on September 30, is set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada and follows a Kambala champion, played by Shetty, a straight forester. The range officer comes to have an affair with Murali.
