akash ambani: Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, OnlyFans CEO Amrapali Gan on TIME100 Next Rising Stars list | Techno Glob

Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani and Indian CEO of subscription social platform OnlyFans Amrapali Gan have been named in the TIME100 Next list by TIME magazine.

The TIME100 Next list is inspired by the publication’s flagship TIME100 list of the world’s most powerful people.

TIME100 Next “recognizes 100 rising stars from diverse fields and around the world. What unites these individuals is their extraordinary efforts to shape our world and shape our future.”

The 2022 TIME100 Next list includes musicians as well as medical professionals, government officials, as well as movement leaders and high-profile enthusiasts, all compiled by TIME journalists and informed by their reporting.

Akash, son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation founder Nita Ambani, features in the list under the Leaders category. In June, 30-year-old Akash was promoted to chairman of Jio, India’s largest telecom company with over 426 million subscribers.

“The scion of an Indian industrialist king, Akash Ambani was always expected to rise in business. But he worked hard,” says Ambani’s profile in TIME.

“He has since played a key role in attracting billion-dollar investments from Google and Facebook. If he does well at Jio, he could crack large parts of the family-owned conglomerate,” the report said.

Gan’s profile in TIME states: “OnlyFans announced plans to ban sexually explicit content on the subscription-based social platform in 2021, then backtracked.

“When Amrapali Gan took over as CEO that winter, she had a decision to make. It was a simple one for the company’s former chief marketing and communications officer,” it said.

“I’m proud to embrace our adults — our content creators and all of our other creators,” Gan told TIME in July.

Under Gandhi’s leadership, OnlyFans launched a security and transparency center and the platform’s popularity continued to grow.

The list includes rising stars such as British actress Simone Ashley, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson and 2022 US Open winner Carlos Alcaraz. PTI YAS NSA NSA
